Tzaneen: Armed robbery at hotel and local hair salon

Two business robberies took place Monday night in the Tzaneen area.

The first was a business break-in at Hair by Hannetjie in Tzaneeen and the second  armed robbery at Magoebaskloof Hotel just outside Tzaneen on the R71.

Hannetjie, owner of Hair by Hannetjie explained that, ‘ The burglar came in during the early hours of the morning and took hairdryers, a lot of our stock, straighteners and hair irons.’

According to Station Commander Molokwane from the Haenertsburg SAPS, the armed robbery at Magoebaskloof Hotel happened just after midnight on Monday 29 April.

“A white vehicle stopped at the main gate of Magoebaskloof Hotel and asked the guard about room prices. The guard escorted one of the four people in the car to reception. The suspect said the prices were too expensive and they went back to the car and left. The guard left his colleague to go on patrol.’
