Moagi crowned Limpopo best driver

A local public servant, Moshikaro Moagi was crowned the Provincial Overall Driver of the Year 2019 in Polokwane recently.

Department of Public Roads and Infrastructure employee, Moagi from Bokgaga Village in Maake took the first position in the LDV category before becoming the overall winner.

He was the defending champion of the LDV category after winning it last year.

His first attempt was in 2016 scooping second position in Mopani, number one and overall winner in Mopani in 2017.

For his efforts in this year’s competition, he took home prize money and two trophies.

Provincial Driver of the Year, Moshikaro Moagi is congratulated by MEC Dickson Masemola and other officials of the department.

According to the organizers, the competition is run in each of the five regions with the winners in each of the seven categories, qualifying to compete at the provincial and national event respectively.

The competition is based on current traffic legislation and road safety regulations and is aimed at improving driver skills and attitude while on the road.

Moagi recently won Limpopo Sports, Arts and Culture Supporter of the Year Award hosted by MEC Thandi Moraka.

He is also the provincial secretary of Kaizer Chiefs FC supporters in Limpopo.
