It is alleged that the two broke into the camp and stole bedding, electrical appliances, a bicycle and a Toyota Land Cruiser motor vehicle in which they loaded the stolen goods before driving off.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, said that they were notified and subsequent investigations lead to the arrest of the two suspects, one of them a former employee of the bush camp.
“They were spotted driving the stolen car on Tuesday, 14 January at about 22:00 and were then apprehended.
The stolen items were recovered at the house of one of the suspects at Bismarck Village, Sekororo,” said Mojapelo.
The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba, commended the police for arresting the two suspects involved in the break-in and theft of motor vehicle.
The suspects were due to re-appear in the Hoedspruit Magistrate’s Court at the time of going to press. Police investigation continues.
