GTM long serving officials honoured

The Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) honoured their long serving employees recently.

Thirteen public servants with 21 and 30 years of service to the community of Tzaneen, received certificates and R2000.

Bertha Soundy, Hester Sophia Swart, Polao Andries Sebela, Nakampe Jacob Shai, Magoto Mcdonald Malatji, Sello Victor Manyama, Matome Daniel Mangena and Willem Du Toit served for 21 years

Meanwhile Morris Sam Rasebotsa, Sephamo Phillip Sebela, Maropeng Simon Mahasha, Christina Antoinette Cloete and Henk Mienie, have served for 30 years.

“You have made an immense contribution to our community and for that we will always be indebted to you,” said Municipal Manager, Thapelo Matlala.

One of the longest serving officials, Henk Mienie, will retire in December this year. He served the municipality for 32 years.

“On behalf of the public servants, thank you for the token of appreciation, it has been a privilege for us to have served the municipality,” Mienie said.

Emelda Tintswalo Shipalana
