All roads lead to Miss Limpopo Province 2022

Local beauties are doing well in different pageant competitions currently taking place.

A good number of Tzaneen pageant queens have made it to the semi-finalist stage of the Miss Limpopo competition.

Some of the young beauties include Mabore Modjadji, Sangwati Ngoobeni and Angel Mashimbyi amongst others:

Mabore from Ga-Modjadji Village and a Grade 10, Ben Vorster High School learner, describes herself as caring, vibrant, ambitious, confident and compassionate individual. The 15-year-old told the Herald that she is excited to be one of the girls representing Tzaneen.

“I believe that every part of who I am and everything I went through in life has prepared me for this amazing pageant journey.  “I want to be an inspiration to every woman to chase their dreams, embrace their futures and use their voices,” she said. She believes in the power of giving and as a result has donated snack packets and stationery to Ramokgwakhwa Special School, with the hope of putting a smile in the faces of the learners. She also donated sanitary pads at Lephepane Primary School.

Dan Village’ Sangwati Ngobeni is also a Miss Limpopo Teen semi-finalist.

She is currently doing Grade 8 at Merensky High School and hopes to be a cardiologist when she finishes school. Her inspiration is former Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi. She says she believes beauty pageants are still relevant in this day and age as they boost self-confidence for young women and create platforms for them to shine.

“I have established a non-profit organisation, Hope, and has donated stationery to young learners in my village. “I have also gave a motivational speech, where I taught them to believe in themselves and their dreams,” she explained.

Angel Mashimbye.

Meanwhile, Angel Mashimbye from Bonn village is also a semi-finalist at the same competition, but for the senior category. She has five years pageant experience and more than five titles to her name.

Some of her achievements include being crowned Miss Teen SA 2018’s first princess, Miss United World 2019 and Miss Galaxy 2019. She has donated sanitary pads to Ritavi Primary School and donated stationery to Hudson Ntsan’wisi Secondary School in Nkowankowa recently.

Vonani Shikwambana.

Vonani Shikwamban is a semi-finalist for the Miss Empress South Africa. The local beauty  has done well, as out of 45 000 applicants, she was chosen to be part of 500 contestants to make it to the semi-finals.

“I have entered this competition to raise an awareness against gender-based violence (GBV). As a survivor of GBV I feel like God gave me a second chance to help those battling with this stigma and also give back to my community. Every three months I donate food, clothes, toys and funds towards Pink Cup organisation.

“I am also looking for a sponsor for anything that can be donated towards my competition, it will be much appreciated,” she explained. For Vonani, to bring the title home she needs votes, visit Empress South Africa’s website and all social media platforms, where you can vote for Vonani S.
