Limpopo Premier’s 2025 Easter message

The Limpopo Provincial Government wishes you a safe season this Easter long weekend.

I am Dr Phophi Ramathuba, the Premier of Limpopo Province. It is that time of the year where families, friends, relatives and Faith-Based Organisations gather to celebrate Easter Holidays and the coming long weekends.

This season is characterized by congested roads due to high traffic volumes. I therefore urge all road users to be extra vigilant and prioritize safety on the roads.

Fatigue is a silent killer; it is important that you take breaks every two hours or after every 200 kilometers. Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. To truckers, taxis, busses, motorists, cyclists, bikers as well as pedestrians please ensure that you:

–              Drive being sober

–              Drive safely around pedestrians

–              Do not text and drive

–              Buckle up

–              Stop speeding before it stops you

To our pedestrians, cross where is safe, wear visible clothes at night, don’t drink and cross the road.

Our law enforcement officers are on high alert!

Once Again, the Limpopo Provincial Government wishes you a Safe season!
