Hoedies Spar wins store of the year in Lowveld region

Spar Hoedspruit has recently been awarded the Store of the Year in the Lowveld region.

“It’s an honour for us as it means that we are doing a great job at our store and we intend to keep it that way. Every year the stores are judged in different categories such as most hygiene, audits, and best customer care. They look at how the store is and what kind of treatment we give to our customers,” said Anthony Bredenkamp, who owns the store with his wife, Danile.

Anthony said that it takes a lot of discipline to be able to receive the award. “It’s also about working together with our workers. If we as the management do not treat our workers right, they will not be able to give their best to our customers. We have to keep a healthy and happy relationship, that way, everyone will be able to do a good job. I would like to give a massive congratulations to our whole team for winning this amazing prize.

It is a wonderful achievement and we are so so very proud of all of you. Thank you for your hard work, your positive attitude, and for keeping the standards high. A great, big thank you to all our customers as well. Thank you for your wonderful support over the last 17 years. “Although no store is perfect, we aim to be better every day and we are proud to serve the community of Hoedspruit. Without you, we will not be able to do what we love every day, we are humbled and thankful,” he concluded.
