N’wa-Mbhurhi opens her heart to communities

A 19-year-old praise singer has donated sanitary pads to her former primary school.

Ntsakelo Eunicia Mkhabele, who performs under the stage name N’waMbhurhi, also donated school uniforms to Nkuri Primary on Tuesday, August 15. She hails from Nkuri Sifasonke outside Giyani where she was born and raised.

N’wa-mbhurhi hosted an awards ceremony at her former school for Gr R to 7 learners. The ceremony was attended by teachers, parents, and community members, representatives from the municipality, the district manager, and blessed by the chief.

“I worked hand-in-hand with my sponsors, Vhakisa and Bob Printing Company, N’wa-Jika the Poet, Nowara’s Cakes, Fumani Mashava Foundation, KipKop Graphics and The Fumiez Graphics & Stream.” Maxelo Radio also live-streamed the event.

The principal of the school, Solomon Rikhotso, expressed his gratitude to her. He said it makes him happy to see a former learner giving back to the school. N’wa-mbhurhi said greater opportunities are on the horizon for her. “The sky is not the limit,” she concluded.
