Body found burnt beyond recognition near Tzaneen

Letsitele police seek information after a badly burnt body was found on the side of R71 road near Zanghoma village.

TZANEEN – A murder case has been opened by the Letsitele police, just outside Tzaneen, following the discovery of a badly burnt body on the side of R71 road near Zanghoma village on Wednesday afternoon, October 30.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says, “On arrival at the scene, police found wood and stones placed on top of the deceased who was burnt beyond recognition. The motive behind the horrific incident is unknown at this stage and police investigations are ongoing.”
