Lions Club helps make Noah’s Ark greener
The Letaba Tzaneen Lions Club donated fruit and nut trees to Noah's Ark Children's Home to promote environmental sustainability.
TZANEEN – The Letaba Tzaneen Lions Club donated fruit and nut trees to Noah’s Ark Children’s Home on Saturday.
Kate Coppen, president of the club, highlighted the importance of addressing hunger and environmental sustainability, which are key pillars of Lionism.
“Hunger and the environment are two of the pillars of Lionism, and we saw it fit to donate fruit and macadamia trees that were generously provided to us by Amorentia Estate for Noah’s Ark to add to their garden,” Coppen explained.
“We hope that this small gesture will help provide nutritious food from the garden to the children at Noah’s Ark and that this community greening project will continue to grow,” she added.
Sylvie Delsouiller from Noah’s Ark expressed gratitude to the Lions volunteers for their contribution.
