Tzaneen barrel racer prepares for international success

Dalienke Grobbelaar (16) shines in barrel racing, competing internationally and hoping to raise funds for the BRSA Rodeo Tour 2025.

TZANEEN – Dalienke Grobbelaar, a 16-year-old horse enthusiast from Tzaneen, is making her mark in the world of barrel racing.

Having been in the saddle since the age of three, she has developed a profound love for horses and a remarkable talent for this demanding sport.

Over the years, Dalienke has showcased her skills in numerous competitions, earning victories and building a reputation as a formidable competitor.

In November 2024, she was chosen as one of five riders selected to represent South Africa internationally. Dalienke travelled to South Dakota to compete in barrel racing events and participate in an exclusive workshop, a testament to her dedication and talent.

Currently, Dalienke is actively fundraising for the BRSA Rodeo Tour 2025, aiming to further her career and continue excelling in barrel racing. Her journey is driven by passion and a commitment to achieving her dreams.
