Quartely scheduled cleaning of Tzaneen Dam water works

Greater Tzaneen Municipality announces a temporary water shutdown on April 9 for dam maintenance, affecting several areas.

TZANEEN – The Greater Tzaneen Municipality wishes to inform the public that the Tzaneen Dam will be temporarily shut down on Wednesday, 9 April to allow for scheduled cleaning and maintenance of the waterworks.

During this period, water supply interruptions are expected in the following areas:
  • Aqua Park.
  • Lifestyle Centre.
  • Flora Park.
  • Arbor Park.
  • Lushof.
  • Riverside.
  • Parts of the CBD.

Municipal spokesperson Vutivi Makhubele urged residents and businesses to use water sparingly during this time to help preserve reservoir levels.

“Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we carry out this essential maintenance to ensure the continued quality and reliability of our water supply,” says Makhubele.
