Al-Imdaad Foundation plans Limpopo expansion

Al-Imdaad Foundation plans to expand its humanitarian efforts to Limpopo, offering education, water relief, eye care, and disaster support.

LIMPOPO – The Al-Imdaad Foundation is looking into expanding its work to Limpopo. The humanitarian organisation provides relief and support in areas affected by poverty and disaster across the globe.

“We are still busy with research and feasibility on the location of the office. It will be something we are looking into,” said Irfaan Ahmed of Al-Imdaad Foundation during International Firefighters Day that was celebrated at the Mopani Disaster Management Centre recently.

“We offer educational programmes, scholarships, back-to-school supply kits, and have initiated the Make Breakfast Possible cereal initiative, which has enabled learners to attend school with pride and improved their focus,” he said.

Additionally, the foundation provides water relief, including the development of boreholes, handpumps, water tank stands and water tankers.

“We also have Vision-4-Life clinics, which focus on basic eye care services and glasses for patients in need. Due to the demand and backlogs of cataract operations, the foundation conducts cataract camps, bringing vision to those who have been without eyesight for years. We also create awareness in communities and provide basic first aid and first responder training.”

Yacoob Vahed, CEO of Al-Imdaad, stated that there is no limit to what people can do in striving to serve humanity.
