Xihoko law student publishes inspiring autobiography

Walter Pilusa has published an autobiography about overcoming adversity to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer.

LIMPOPO – Walter Pilusa, a resilient and determined Xihoko village resident, is leaving no stone unturned to achieve his dreams.

Born and raised in a disadvantaged background, Walter overcame numerous challenges, including financial hardship and societal doubt, to pursue his dream of becoming one of South Africa’s top legal minds.

He is currently a final-year commercial law student at Unisa and a passionate advocate for justice and community upliftment.

The book, Rising from Adversity: A Lawyer’s Journey, is an honest and emotional autobiography that tells the story of his fight for education, justice, and dignity.

“More than a personal journey, the book is a message of strength, faith, and purpose, showing that no matter how far you’ve fallen, you can rise again.
After facing academic suspension and financial setbacks, I never gave up.”

He further said that with the help of inspiring mentors and unwavering faith, he returned to university and completed his criminal justice qualification.
