Vibes on Sunday brings new social experience to Tzaneen

Vibes on Sunday offers Tzaneen residents a relaxed, affordable bi-weekly social experience with food, music and community.

LIMPOPO – Unsure where to unwind after a long workweek, local creative entrepreneur Paul Paunde decided to create a relaxed, affordable Sunday experience for Tzaneen residents.

He noticed that most establishments in Tzaneen and the surrounding areas close on Sundays, leaving people with few options for a social, laid-back outing. Instead of driving long distances for entertainment, Paunde wanted to offer something local and meaningful.

From this idea, Vibes on Sunday was born, a bi-weekly event celebrating good food, good music, and the warm community spirit Tzaneen is known for.

“Each edition, held at The Old Packhouse in Politsi, offers a safe, friendly venue where residents can enjoy quality entertainment, support local talent, and connect in a relaxed atmosphere,” Paunde explained.

The event is not a festive season initiative but a long-term project. Paunde aims to make Vibes on Sunday a regular feature of the town’s social culture, something residents can look forward to every second Sunday.

The response to the inaugural event was overwhelming, with residents attending in large numbers and embracing the atmosphere.

Paunde said the turnout confirmed that Vibes on Sunday is “more than an event, it’s a movement.”

Paunde, a photographer and community builder, is known for his passion for people, travel, and meaningful experiences.

Drawing from his love of the outdoors and crowd engagement, he created Vibes on Sunday to blend good food, music, and a sense of belonging.
