Tiny Tots and Kiddeo enjoy sports day

Tiny Tots were crowned overall winners of the 2026 Preschool Sports Day, edging out Kiddeo with a 20-18 victory despite rainy weather.

TZANEEN – Tiny Tots was crowned overall winners of the 2026 Kiddeo and Tiny Tots Preschool Sports Day, held at Ben Vorster sports field on a rainy Saturday morning, June 20.

Despite the wet weather, the young learners participated enthusiastically in all activities, competing with pride and determination throughout the day.

The event began with a colourful grand entrance by teachers from both schools. Kiddeo staff arrived in a helicopter and fire truck, while Tiny Tots made their entrance in a Porsche and Ford double cab. This was followed by cheerleading performances and a boys’ haka.

Learners then took part in a range of activities, including tug-of-war, ball-in-the-cup, flat races, hurdles, and a parents’ race. Kiddeo initially dominated several events, but Tiny Tots staged a strong comeback in the middle of the programme.

Tiny Tots excelled in the soccer matches, winning 4–2 in the boys’ game and 3–1 in the girls’ fixture, as well as taking another match 5–1. Kiddeo’s mothers restored some pride for their side by winning 4–3 on penalties after a 0–0 draw in their match.

After all events were tallied, Tiny Tots secured the overall victory with a final score of 20–18.

The day also featured a fashion show, where parents and children showcased hero-themed costumes.

School owner Shenaaz Moosa thanked parents, learners, and sponsors for contributing to the success of the event.
