Sister schools battle on field and board

Lowveld Academy (LA) primary schools in Hoedspruit and Tzaneen took part in a battle of physical and mental challenges last Wednesday at the Drakensberg Sports Complex.

The netball girls of LA Hoedspruit did not disappoint with the seniors winning 28-15 and the juniors following suit with a convincing win of 14-8 over Tzaneen’s girls. On the soccer field, the senior Hoedspruit boys had to bend the knee to Tzaneen with a final score of 1-2.

The juniors kept their cool drew with a 0-0 score. Brainpower was also put to the test in a fast two-round chess tournament. Both rounds were taken by LA Hoedspruit with the final score being Hoedspruit 8 and 4 to Tzaneen.
