Mohlaba Day on point

The day is a commemoration of Chief Mohlaba the First and to also celebrate the progress and achievements of the traditional council.

The Nkuna Royal Traditional Authority celebrated the 55th Mohlaba Day at the Royal Palace recently.

A Fundraising Gala Dinner event was held for the first time in the history of the Mohlaba Day on Friday evening.

“The aim of the gala dinner was to raise funds to support the youth development projects we are working on within the Mohlaba jurisdiction,” said Princess Nkakasana Mohlaba.

Radio and television personality, Sydney Baloyi was the program director of both the Gala Dinner and the main event on Saturday.

Buti July, Amukelani Shiluvana and Given Mkharhi

Radio mogul and founder of Capricorn FM and Power FM, Given Mkharhi was the conductor of the fundraiser.
Some of the big names who honoured the occasion included, Jeff Maluleke, James Shikwambana, Buti July and Nkakareng Rakgoele.

Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality, Nkakareng Rakgoale, Kgosi Dikgale, SALGA PEC Member and Chief Mohlaba the Second.

“As the royal family we are pleased with how the two day event came out and hopefully next year will be bigger and better,” added Princess Mohlaba.
