(Graphic content) Body found next to river with arm torn off

A body of an unknown man with one of his arms torn off below the shoulder was discovered next to the Klein Olifants River.

Blood splatter patterns indicated that the victim, a homeless man, had bled out on the scene where the body was found.

 

The arm is still missing.

 

A member of the SAPS Search and Rescue Unit scoured the river bank for the missing arm but could not find it.

It was speculated on the scene that the man’s arm was torn of by a crocodile.
