Watch – Caught on video: Explosion and frantic search for trapped fireman
Dramatic video footage of a fire at OK Furniture in Groblersdal, shows an explosion and then how the community realize that one of the firemen are still trapped inside the building.
The fire broke out on Thursday 30 November at around 18:00. Members of the community as well as security groups and the fire department struggled to douse the flames.
A loud explosion was heard:
Onlookers realised that one of the firemen has not resurfaced and was trapped somewhere in the building.
Gary van Jaarsveld, from the Marble Hall Fire Department, was pulled from the burning building by firemen and Gunmar Security officers.

He is currently being treated in the Milpark Hospital for third and second degree burn wounds.
