‘Wonderful woman’ turned into aggressive drug addict before death

The family of a woman who passed away after being in hospital for five weeks, says that drug addiction is responsible for her death.

Mari Jonker (46) died in the Middelburg Hospital last weekend.  Mari stayed at Mercy Home before being admitted to hospital.

Her sister Petro told www.mobserver.co.za that she was a ‘wonderful woman’ who had a good job and was living in eMalahleni before she started acting strangely.

“She became very aggressive and shouted a lot. Her pupils also changed.”

She warned people to be on the lookout for drastic personality changes in their loved ones and to test for drugs immediately.
