Thousands line up for Rockdale stands

Thousands of people, some carrying umbrellas and others on camping chairs, queued at Kees Taljaard Stadium on Tuesday morning where they submitted applications for erven in Rockdale.

On Monday people queued outside the municipal buildings - which caused major congestion in the parking area and around the building.

The queues stretched from the stadium right up to the intersection at Tosca Supermarket – testament to the huge demand for property in Middelburg.

 

Thousands of people queued around Kees Taljaard Stadium on Tuesday to apply for residential stands which the municipality has made available in Rockdale.

 

The municipality will allocate stands to applicants through means of a draw later this week.
