Man wanted for murder, rape, and kidnapping

Police in Hendrina are investigating a case of murder, rape, and kidnapping that occurred at a farm in Hendrina between 28 and 29 November 2024, at approximately 16:00.

According to information available to the police, a suspect entered the farm and attacked and killed the complainant’s 46-year-old son.

He then allegedly raped the man’s 80-year-old mother inside a vehicle on the property.

The suspect also forced the woman’s husband (the deceased’s father) into the boot of a car and left him there.

He later used the victim’s bank card to withdraw R5,000.00 at a petrol station in Bethal.

The suspect was reportedly driving the complainant’s vehicle, which he later abandoned in eMbalenhle, leaving the rape victim inside after noticing a passing police vehicle.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in locating and arresting the suspect to contact Hendrina SAPS at 013 248 0066 or Detective Warrant Officer Tebogo Moakamedi, at 082 303 9899.
