The toll plaza recorded the highest traffic volumes in the area during the long weekend, making it one of the busiest toll points along the N4 route.

At peak times, TRAC reported as many as 2 100 vehicles passed through the toll plaza within a single hour in one direction, travelling towards Mpumalanga.

Authorities indicated that despite the heavy flow of vehicles, traffic moved steadily through the plaza during the peak travel periods.
