Hospital brings joy to childen at Ikageng

MIDRAND - Life Carstenof Clinic spent their 67 minutes for Mandela by visiting Ikageng Daycare Centre in Ivory Park.

The Carstenof team was joined by current Miss Mamelodi Sundowns, Kerusha Govender, and brought toys, cake and other snacks to the children.

They also got creative with the kids and drew up messages on canvasses to commemorate Nelson Mandela.

”This day hopes to inspire us to embrace the values that Mandela shared, and as Life Carstenhof Clinic we believe it is important to give back to the community, not just on Mandela Day but each and every day,” said hospital manager, Dr David Julies.

Ikageng Daycare is an early childhood development programme in Ivory Park which offers care to 85 children.

The goal of Ikageng is to afford parents and caregivers the right to education and care for their young children, thereby significantly reducing the negative impact of unemployment, HIV/Aids and illiteracy in the community.
