Drug dealers nabbed after school raid

MIDRAND - Three men were arrested for selling dagga to school children.

According to police spokesperson, Constable Matome Tlamela the arrests took place after police received a tip-off from a pupil who had caught two fellow pupils smoking dagga on school premises.

Upon acting on the information, police questioned the pupils involved.

“They told police where they were buying the drug and lead them to a man who was found in possession of dagga with the street value estimated at R7 000. He was immediately arrested,” said Tlamela.

Police raided three other schools with narcotic dogs where two more men were arrested for dealing in drugs.

The suspects, aged between 30 and 53 will appear in court facing charges of dealing in drugs.
