Resident’s association targeted by graffiti

ONE of President Park Residents Association’s signs was defaced within just one week of being mounted.

The association’s chairperson, John Gainsford, said, “I am thrilled to see the association’s work in President Park is having the desired effect. Especially our continual pressure on perpetrators of illegal land use. As this is the only graffiti in our suburb, it’s very obvious we have hit a tender spot.”

The residents association has been involved with the process of enforcing laws about illegal land use.

Gainsford said, “In an effort to retain the rural feel in President’s Park for as long as possible, the residents associations on the east side of the track are continually monitoring land use. One only has to drive through President Park on Modderfontein road to see the urban decay caused by illegal land use.”
