Kyalami business robbed of TV screens

MIDRAND - A COMPANY in Kyalami Business Park was robbed of plasma TVs to the value of R 6 million.

Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said the complainant was suprised by an armed man who pointed a firearm at him while standing just outside the office.

“The complainant was pushed inside the building and ordered to lie down next to another employee. The suspects then took him into the warehouse where they loaded the plasma TVs into an eight ton truck and panel van,” said Tlamela.

“It appeared that the suspects knew the place because they managed to pull down the security cameras with broomsticks,” added Tlamela.

No arrests have been made yet and police investigations are underway.

Tlamela said, “Anyone with any information on the case is requested to contact the Midrand police station.”
