Midrand leads the way for solar installations

Leading South African solar company, Green Habitat, announced the successful installation of one of the largest solar photovoltaic (PV) roof top installations in South Africa.

The roof top installation was done at the Midrand headquarters of Mustek, the largest assembler and distributor of personal computers in South Africa.

The first phase of the project called for a 210 kilowatt installation on the rooftop of Mustek’s Midrand headquarters.

After this successful installation the next phase will be the installation of solar PV systems on many of the suitable roofs of Mustek-owned buildings in Midrand and country-wide.

Maurits Perold, CEO of Green Habitat said, “We are proud to have been involved with this key project for Mustek as this showcases the fact that solar energy is now a viable option for any medium to large scale operation.”

Green Habitat will be launching the next phase of the Mustek project on 23 August and they invite companies and individuals alike to view the site and watch a project presentation.
