SPCA animals need presents too
MIDRAND - Midrand SPCA is appealing to the community to share the festive giving spirit with them.
Manager of Midrand SPCA, Elsje Naicker said food and blankets were needed for the animals during December and January.
Midrand SPCA would be closed on 16 December, 25 and 26 December as well as on 1 and 2 January 2014. Naicker said a staff member would be at the pound on the public holidays at all times to receive stray, unwanted and injured animals as well as any donations.
Naicker said, “In the event of your own pet being sick or injured, please take him or her to your nearest vet. If you are aware that owners have gone away on holiday and there is no one taking care of their pets, please contact us immediately.”
An inspector would also be available on emergency lines.
Details: Inspector, 083 441 1564 or 083 441 1565 for emergencies.
