Cycle Kyalami takes on the night once more
KYALAMI - Cycle Kyalami will continue to take in Kyalami by night in 2014.
The night cycles ended with a canceled ride as a violent storm rocked the Greater Kyalami Conservancy.
The night rides are the brain-child of Darryl van Niekerk and started in April last year as a causal way to exercise, socialise and explore the wildlife of the conservancy by night. The rides became so poplar, Van Niekerk hosted them on a regular basis – even on the cold winter nights which culminated with hot chocolate at the SA Lipizzaners.
Midrand police, community police forum and security companies also often accompanied the cyclists on their ride to protect them and seek out any criminal activity.
The first night ride for 2014 will take place on 14 January starting from the Lipizzaners parking area at 7pm. All community members are welcome to join.
