Help the Jukskei
CLUNY FARM - Over the past two years, many stories have been reported on how the Jukskei and its connecting rivers have been affected by development.
The Jukskei River alone has seen a number of sewage spills and has been split into canals by development which causes the water in the river to rise quicker, making it travel faster and unnaturally.
The Jukskei Forum is stepping in and is arranging a ‘call for action’ meeting.
Secretary of the forum Judith Taylor said, “Our water courses are under threat and it is time for citizen action.”
Anyone interested can attend the meeting, which will be held on 28 February at Cluny Farm in Sun Valley from 10am.
