A slippery situation at Gautrain Midrand

MIDRAND - The rinkals that slithered into the body of a car parked at the Midrand Gautrain station has reared its head.

After days of security personal, police and a trained snake handler trying to get the snake out of the vehicle, the driver decided to take his car home on 21 February.

It was believed by security and the snake handler that the snake must have left the vehicle. This after the car was parked in the sunny emergency exit and everything, including pepper spray, was reportedly used to evict the snake.

However on 22 February, the driver saw the snake rearing its head from the car’s bonnet and called the snake handler who removed it safely from the vehicle.

21 February, 2pm:

A rinkals snake reportedly slithered into the car park of Midrand Gautrain station on 18 February and made its way into the body of a vehicle.

The snake was seen by security guards and a snake handler was called in to try lure the snake from its hiding place.

The attempt was eventually called off in hope that the snake would slither away by itself.

The owner of the car opted to leave the vehicle at the parking lot until someone had seen the snake depart.
