Food for puppies’ souls

MIDRAND - Kitty and Puppy Haven, which is based in President Park, received a belated but well-deserved Christmas present: 245kg of dog food, courtesy of Montego Pet Nutrition.

Founder and director of Kitty and Puppy Haven Samantha Berger said, “Since our launch in November 2013, we have been inundated with intakes and we now have over 250 animals in our care. This donation could not have come at a better time and we are most grateful.”

The donation was made possible by Montego’s Click to Feed campaign which encouraged Facebook users to vote for their favourite animal rescue organisation. For each click, Montego would donate one meal to that organisation. Kitty and Puppy Haven received 1 400 clicks.

Johan van Jaarsveld of Montego Pet Nutrition said, “Our Click to Feed campaign ran for two months and in that time we received 20 000 votes, which amounts to 3 500kg of Montego Classic dog food for 18 animal shelters across the country. We are thrilled that we were able to help so many deserving animal shelters and hope that our donation will make a big difference.”
