Annual bikini car wash to raise funds
BROADACRES- Ark Animal Centre, with the help of Pretty Promoters, is gearing up for their annual bikini car wash.
Ark Animal Centre specialises in the housing and care of puppies and pregnant dogs and is the leading shelter of its kind in South Africa.
Candice Eilertsen of Ark Animal Centre explained that their aim is to change people’s attitudes towards animals in South Africa through education and awareness and to promote animal welfare and animal rights.
She said that all cars and bikes are welcome at the car wash.
The aim is to raise R20 000 on the day from car washes and donations.
Eilertsen said the money raised will go towards the building of a new maternity ward at the shelter.
The Ark Animal bikini car wash will take place on 8 March at Outer Limits in Broadacres from 10am to 2pm.
Eilertsen said that they are also looking for male and female volunteers to wash cars on the day.
