Mzobe sets her sights on Mrs South Africa title

MIDRAND - Resident Lindela Mzobe is one of the 55 Mrs South Africa semi finalists.

Mzobe used to take part in beauty pageants during her school days and dreams of having her own foundation. “Being Mrs SA would help to facilitate my plans to help empower young girls in my home town in the Eastern Cape. I have also started collecting toys and clothing for children that I plan to give to a charity in Midrand.”

Mzobe said she loves watching beauty pageants. “I love watching former Miss South Africa winners such as Basetsana Khumalo, Kerishnie Naicker and Cindy Nell. They inspired me to enter for Mrs SA. ”

In a statement, Mrs South Africa chief executive officer Joani Johnson said, “Mrs South Africa candidates are married, sophisticated, beautiful and real. The aim of the pageant is to showcase the positive role of a married woman in South Africa. The ideal woman will be someone who can play a positive role in the lives of others.”

The top 55 will compete at the Mrs South Africa semi-finals on 12 April at the Emperors Palace where the top 22 finalists will be chosen.
