Dog shot, survives and needs home
PRESIDENT PARK - Alex is a dog that has survived being shot and was paralysed from her injuries but against all odds, she survived.
While she spends her days at Kitty and Puppy Haven at the moment, the feisty Jack Russel is now looking for a new home.
Lauren Namer of Kitty and Puppy said she was unconvinced that Alex would survive on the day she was rescued, but Alex proved her wrong. Alex survived and her injuries healed. She also fought off severe biliary.
“We were wrong. She had the will and fighting spirit,” said Namer.
The dog, who has already gone through months of rehabilitation and now leads what is described as a normal and happy life, is yet to be adopted. “All she needs
is unconditional love and affection. When I visited her last week she immediately jumped into my lap and begged for a tummy rub.”
Due to her injuries, Alex has a limp when she is tired and can sometimes have ‘oopsies’ when overly excited,however Namer said, “This girl needs a second chance and a family that will love her.The love she gives far exceeds these few side effects.”
