Man shot in Halfway House
HALFWAY HOUSE - Midrand police officer, Constable Nanty Belebesi, said a case of attempted murder and armed robbery has been opened after a man was shot in Halfway House on 31 July.

According to Belebesi, at 10pm a police radio control message came through that someone had been shot at Total garage, on the corner of Old Pretoria Road and Broadwalk in Halfway House.
“A constable rushed to the scene and on arrival he heard a man screaming from a toilet. A young man was lying on his back and told the officer that he was shot by three suspects wearing dark clothes. The also stole his phone.”
Paramedics were called and the man, who is from Kaalfontein Extension 7B, was taken to Sunninghill Hospital.Â
No one has been arrested yet, and police are still investigating the matter.Â
1 August, 10.54am:
Netcare 911 paramedics were called to Halfway House after a man was shot on 1 August around midnight.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann could not provide many details on the shooting, but said it took place on Broadwalk Street near Pretoria Main Road in Halfway House.
She added, “A 21-year-old man is in critical condition and details surrounding the shooting remain the subject of a police investigation.”
The man was treated on the scene and rushed to a provincial hospital for urgent medical care.
