Have a cuppa for Cansa
MIDWAY MEWS - Midway Mews Shopping Centre is inviting residents to join in the fun at a Cuppa for Cansa on 9 August at the centre.
Marketing co-ordinator for Midway Mews, Lizelle Botha said, “The event offers a fun way to raise money for the work Cancer Association of South Africa does in local communities.”
She said tea or coffee and special cookies will be sold on the day.
“This is just one way in which the centre continues to demonstrate its involvement with the community and its willingness to support the many organisations that work to improve the quality of life for residents.”
She said all proceeds from the day would go towards the cancer association. “A clinic nurse will be on hand to assist with information regarding cancer detection and early warning signs,” Botha added.
The event will begin at 9am and end off at 2pm. Residents will be treated to live music. Cuppas will cost R5 each.
