Company paves the way

MIDRAND - Merck Sharpe and Dohme Midrand paved an area of Bathabile Primary School in Olievenhoutbosch.

The company’s managing director Kaja Natland said the paving took two hours. Natland said, “This has been a very rewarding experience because now the pupils can use the paved area as a place to sit and have their meals.”

The company also supports the government feeding scheme at the school. “We subsidise 300 litres of fresh full cream milk and 180 loaves of bread which are delivered to the school once a week, to have a change of diet.”

The school principal, Solly Kotu said the school appreciates the support and the paving done at the school. “Pupils can now sit on the pavement and not on bare ground while they chat or eat their food.”
