Computers stolen in Rabie Ridge
RABIE RIDGE - A man from Rabie Ridge told police two computers were stolen from his house overnight, only for him to find them outside his neighbour's house the following morning.
Rabie Ridge police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said, “The complainant alleges that while he was sleeping his computers were stolen. He woke up to a room that had been rummaged [through].”
According to the complainant, the suspects came through the roof of his house, but he did not hear anything at the time.
“He said as he was leaving to report the matter to the police, one of his neighbors approached him and told him about the computers in front of her gate. The neighbor claims that early in the morning she found computers in boxes outside her gate and decided to ask if anyone’s house had been broken into.”
Constable Nhlongo said no arrests have been made yet. “We suspect that maybe the suspects were disturbed during the housebreaking and left the computers there. Police are still doing more investigations.”
