Association awards players
IVORY PARK - Ivory Park Football Association awarded its best players at an awards ceremony at Kopanong Sports ground.
Young people also showcased their talents through performing dance, poems and drama. Among the attendees were parents, football administrators and sponsors. Chairperson of the football association Curtus Moonsamy said, “This is the beginning of great things for Ivory Park footballers. We want to take this association to another level.”
He explained that the main goal of the association was to take children off the street by encouraging them to play soccer. The U13 and U15 boys were awarded trophies and medals for their individual performances and their teams’ efforts.
The youngest player Junior Maseko received soccer boots and a gold medal. The reigning champions, Laduma U15 boys were awarded a trophy and medals, while Kaizer FC won the U13 Division.

- Disciplined player: Siyabonga Nene
- Youngest Player: Kgomotso Seshane
- Golden Boot: Rifumo Chinyama
U13 awards
- Top goal scorer: Chris Ndulula Pelembe
- Best goal keeper: Mosa Langa
- Player of season: Solly Bangu
- Disciplined player: Bongani Shabangu
- Youngest Player: Junior Maseko
- Golden Boot: Wandi Senomsi
