Christmas cheer for Lipizzaner

KYALAMI- The South African Lipizzaners proudly presented their Carols by Candlelight show with the Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa on 10 December.

This spectacular event kick-started the festive season with a bang, as the Lipizzaner Riders Cabaret showcased their talents. In addition to the beautiful sounds of the choir filling the air with Christmas cheer, the crowd was spoilt with an outstanding performance by the magnificent stallions.

From Rocking around the Christmas tree to Silent night the choir dazzled the audience and encouraged them to sing along.

With the ambiance of lit candles, there was a surprise visit from Father Christmas much to the joy of many young boys and girls. The evening was concluded by a nativity play performed by some of the trainers and children of the Lipizzaner stables.

Judy Vertue, one of the directors of The South African Lipizzaners said the Christmas show was one of the most anticipated shows of the year. “The horses, trainers and riders all look forward to putting the show together,” said Vertue.

Vertue said the show would be performed throughout December.
