Police honoured for excellent work

JOBURG - Gauteng Police emergency services awarded trophies to its shift commanders and members for excellent work.

Gauteng 10111 media liaison officer Captain Pinky Tsinyane said, “The Alpha and Bravo shifts performed very well. The shifts were assessed according to reaction time, service level, number of abandoned calls, booked off-sick days, number of calls received and registered, and many more.

“The shift commanders were applauded for good performance and encouraged to continue working harder for more awards. It was not an easy year for the members and clients, but the members of the centre are working very hard to receive and dispatch complaints as per the demands of the complainants,” she said.

The unit commander, Brigadier Shirley Elizabeth Venter, management and Venter’s family assisted with designing, engraving and presenting of the trophies.
