Company gives school shoes to children in need

MIDRAND - A couple from Henry Rose, a catering company in Tembisa, gave 20 pairs of shoes to the children of Tembisa-based Bulamahlo Orphanage.

Tebogo Bulane and Prudence Sihlangu plan to continue providing shoes for children in need in orphanages around Midrand, Tembisa and Pretoria. Bulane said, “Last year, we hosted a charity black tie event to raise funds for school shoes.”

Bulane said he and Sihlangu enjoy handing out shoes to schoolchildren who are in need of them. “It is our way of giving back to the community. Nothing is as gratifying as seeing smiles of the children as they receive a new pair of shoes.”

Reginah Sekgobela from the orphanage said they are thankful for the shoes. “The children loved receiving shoes, they feel special.”
