Goodbye, so long, farewell little jaguars
MIDRAND - Lory Park Zoo said goodbye to three of their feline friends recently.
Senior zoo keeper, Kelly Duligal said their three seven-month-old jaguars had been sent to an international breeding programme in Europe.
Two of the young jaguars, Hototo and Hania are black which makes them unique as only 25 percent of the worldwide population of these rare cats are black. “The mother is also black so people who want to view jaguars can come see the two kinds of species at the zoo,” said Duligal.
She said the three cubs were full of life. “They all have such great and quirky personalities, hopefully they’ll do well,” she said.
