Bizfarm finds a home in Midrand.

MIDRAND - BIZFARM, a small to medium business incubation company opened its doors in Midrand.

The company provides office space for small businesses to operate from.

Atul Padalkar, owner of Bizfarm said, “We know that entrepreneurs who are starting out struggle to find affordable office space. Our concept is to provide them with operation space, a boardroom and free Wi-Fi.”

Padalkar said an entrepreneur could use their premises for as little as R250 for five hours a month. “We also provide coaching,” he said.

This all-in-one approach is helpful for many entrepreneurs who are starting out. One such entrepreneur is Kagiso Ramphela who owns Kramp Logistics, a communications company.

“I am mainly in the business of fibre optics, RF installations and the maintenance thereof,” he said.

Ramphela said he employed 30 temporary staff and had three permanent staff members including himself. “Which is why I came to Bizfarm for quarters. Most of my staff are seasonal.”

Padalkar believed that Midrand was the technological hub of Gauteng because it was geographically placed between Pretoria and Johannesburg.

“With developments such as Waterfall Park and existing telecommunications companies, this is definitely ideal for SMMEs [small, medium and micro enterprises],” he said.
