Metro police called to a school after pupils found drinking
MIDRAND - IT HAS been alleged that pupils at a school in Midrand were found drinking alcohol while some stumbled around drunk outside the school.
Metro police spokesperson Superintendent Wayne Minnaar confirmed that they were called to a school today.
He said, “The school principal called Metro police to the school after staff found pupils drinking, some were already drunk.”
The pupils were found drinking in a piece of veld nearby the school.
Minnaar said the pupils were loaded into a Metro police van and given a stern warning for drinking, and for drinking during school hours.
