Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said the suspect was arrested on 14 June.
“According to the complainant, while he was patrolling he noticed someone closing a window at a shisa nyama. The complainant went to inspect and found someone he knew carrying a bucket with stolen alcohol,” she said.
The suspect realised that he had been caught, dropped the bucket and ran away. The complainant called the police and gave them a description of the suspect and the direction in which he ran. He was found and arrested.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
