Principal Brenda Smith said the soup drive is part of the school’s outreach programme. “Parents and children are always open to contributing to the various causes that The Glen Montessori supports. The little ones enjoyed building a pyramid with all the soups and noodles they gave to Bokamoso.”
Smith added that the school collects donations for many different outreach programmes throughout the year. “It is important for children to appreciate what they have and to be aware that there are others that have less. It is part of our cosmic education to learn generosity and kindness towards others. Opportunities for giving instil a sense of community in each child from a young age,” she said.
